(Apparently) Unacceptable Words in Describing Flavors

My daughter chastises me when I describe coffee or wine using certain terms. She’s trained in hospitality and honed her palate on scotch, coffee, and wine. I, however, argue that the following are distinct, familiar flavors that cannot be ignored:

outhouse

green peas

wax

gravy

For example: A bouquet of outhouse greets the nose over a balanced cup of rich gravy and wax, finishing in a flourish of green peas.

Enjoy your coffee.
